Statement on the Necessity of Combatting Violence and Extremism

As a NGO active in the field of humanitarian activities We condemn terrorist and violent acts, & any ethnic, racial or religious abhorrence that results in any form & any motive leading to discrimination, hostility and violence.

At the twenty-eighth session of the United Nations Human Rights Council the Prevention Association of Social Harms (P.A.S.H.), issued a statement on the need to combat violence and extremism, read out by the association’s representative at the scene of the council:

Mr. President
The emergence and increasing incidence of violence, especially violence spreading in the name of religions, is one of the major threats to global peace and security in today's world. In recent years, the promotion of violence and extremism, such as sectarian violence and terrorism, have resulted in the loss of lives of thousands of innocent people, the destruction of households and religious sites ... and finally the emigration and bewilderment of millions. The Middle East region is an obvious victim of this tragedy.
The truth of the religion of Islam is against any kind of violence and terror against human beings, and apart combating aggressors, does not believe in violence against people and societies.. In the Islamic view, humans are the Supreme Beings and color and race are not criteria’s of supremacy between humans. Moreover, in the perspective of this religion, the salvation of a human being is the salvation of a society and the killing of a human being as the killing of all the people of a society.

Mr. President
As a non-governmental organization active in the field of humanitarian activities, we strongly condemn terrorist and violent acts, including attacks on religious and cultural centers and the killing of civilians, women and children, and any ethnic, racial and religious hate in any form which will be an excuse for discrimination and hostility and violence. We call on the international community, especially the Human Rights Council, to endorse the resolution on the "Rejection of Violence and Extremism", which was approved by the proposal of the Presidency of the Islamic Republic of Iran on the occasion of the sixty-eighth The UN General Assembly for the initiative to create a world free of violence and extremism.
